This is a beautiful ground floor apartment with the wow factor! It is one of eight apartments within a converted Grade II listed former Georgian manor house, found in the quiet, unspoilt village of Sneaton which is only 3 miles and an eight minute drive from Whitby. Whitby is a favourite coastal destination with its cobbled streets, a beautiful beach, cosy cafes and quirky shops, also famed for its Dracula connections.
Sneaton itself is a great base for exporing the famous North Yorkshire Moors and is just a few miles from the village of Goathland of Heartbeat fame.
This elegant apartment is entered via the imposing frontage into a shared communal area. Immediately inside the apartment itself is a roomy hall, with separate cloakroom (toilet with sink) leading off. Further along is the large, beautifully decorated 27 foot, open plan living room, with cosy sitting area set around the woodburning stove within feature fireplace The room has a well equipped kitchen with integrated apiances. Also leading off the hall is the pretty en-suite double bedroom, furnished with Barker and Stonehouse pieces. The ensuite bathroom has a large walk-in shower. From the bedroom are far-reaching countryside views with Whitby Abbey visible.
There is a large well-kept communal garden with sitting area which also enjoys delightful views across to Whitby.
Sneaton is a great base for active types, with many walks on the doorstep. There is a quiet wood at the end of the village street, as well as the famed paved Monks Trod, an ancient route used by the local monks, leading from the village to Whitby Abbey.
For those who prefer a less energetic holiday there is a super pub in the village as well as a delicious tearoom, renowned for its hearty breakfasts as well as its amazing selection of home-made ice creams.
Looking further afield, do not miss a visit to the higgledy-piggledy, smugglers village, Robin Hoods Bay; also Runswick Bay which won British Beach of the year, Thornton-le-Dale - the chocolate-box village, or within an hour's drive, York and Castle Howard with its Brideshead glamour.
We can't wait to welcome you here as Apartment 4 is simply a wonderful base to explore this fantastic area.
